Here are a random selection of my memorable moments of 2014 out of the 45,000 words -give or take a few – written on Changed Lives New Journey.

Just before I begin – forgive the lack of a numbered list. Grrrrrr – Consider all those little 1’s below. Usually I spend hours getting the post to look as right as possible. Today the time to correct this numbering overwhelmed me and I decided to leave it as is, for the world to see.  An example of the imperfections that occur, due to my lack of knowledge about what goes on in the world of web stuff.

    1. Receiving my Criptiques publication in the mail. A book of short stories by authors with disabilities challenging and provoking thought on a whole range of life themes.

    1. Writing “A Rant for Remembrance Day: Traumatic Brain Injury in Soldiers “ and realising the world would not end if I let off steam about things I felt strongly about, once in a while.

    1. ExcusesVsLife, Sandra Brown busting through obstacles received her Visa to live in France for 2015. You can also follow her ongoing French adventure at Anglo life.

    1. Cheryl Green and  “Who Am I To Stop It” got their Kickstarter project funded to professionally edit and present a documentary film on isolation, art and transformation after brain injury.

    1. It’s a small small world! I read an article “Please Don’t Help Me” that I found useful and contacted author Wolf Wolfgang. Then discovered he lives in the street next to my Mum in New Zealand!

    1. Memorable Moments of 2014 Pink clay sculptured rabbit.Pink Bunny Creativity and Brain Injury” a favourite of mine, was finally finished and published. I was honoured that each of the talented artists I approached agreed to be featured and I loved the inspiration for the article – a pink ceramic bunny.

    1. Discovering continuums in most things in life. Neurodiversity really woke me up to new thinking. I realised how often in everyday (and not so everyday) things a continuum of diversity make better sense that black and white, right and wrong etc.

    1.  “Disability is Not Made by Bad Bodies It Is Made by Bad Societies” An article attempting to describe a little of the legacy of Stella Young. Difficult to contemplate the loss of such a firecracker, achieiving, amazing woman whose TED Talk had lead me write an earlier article Inspirational and Disability – Cliche, Demeaning, or Fact?

    1. Dancing in the dark every week – Ooops that has nothing to do with Changed Lives New Journeys yet No Lights No Lycra is my guilty pleasure. Give it a go!  Get Dancing After Brain Injury  was inspired by my rediscovery of dance.

    1. Brain Pickings I know I go on and on and on about Brain Pickings and the founder Maria Popova but it is now an all round favourite for me, and for the many people I recommend it to. It covers so much of life and literature. Amazing!

    1. “Learning to Say Maleesh” – author Rebecca Viney has written about acquiring and living with brain injury in a way I have not read before.

  1. ABBA – Always – what else could you possibly listen to that would inspire you to keep writing and dancing!!!!!
